 Abstract :  

Neuromorphic technology is one of the next generation computing technology that differentiates itself from existing computing technology and has been actively studied all over the world in recent years. The initial neuromorphic technology was intended to implement a virtual neural network including neurons using an analog integrated circuit, but now refers to a wide range of artificial intelligence hardware including digital integrated circuits and next generation memory based technologies. The first part of this lecture will cover the development history, meaning, and the core features of the brain that you want to mimic, while the second part explains the technology trends, industry trends, and key application areas of current neuromorphic technology. In particular, we will study the meaning of Neuromorphic Processor as a next generation deep learning hardware accelerator and consider the difference and competitiveness from existing general / semi-general deep learning accelerators.
