Course Requirements

ㅇ 석사과정

• 가. 졸업이수학점 : 총 33 학점 이상
• 나. 공통필수 : 3 학점 이상 및 윤리및안전 이수 (CC512는 타전공학생만 공통필수로 인정함)
• - CC010 리더십 강좌(무학점. 2002년도 입학생부터 반드시 이수, 일반장학생 및 외국인학생 제외)
• - CC020 윤리 및 안전 
• 다. 전공필수 : 3학점
• - MS511 열역학과 상평형
• 라. 선택 : 15학점 이상(당학과에서 개설하는 선택과목 6학점이상 포함)
•      * 지유선택 과목은 인정하지 않음.        
• 마. 연구 : 12학점 이내(반드시 세미나 2학점 포함)

ㅇ 박사과정

• 가. 졸업이수학점 : 총 60학점 이상
• 나. 공통필수 : 3학점 이상 및 윤리및안전 이수(CC512는 타전공학생만 공통필수로 인정함)
• - CC020 윤리 및 안전 
• 다. 전공필수 : 3학점
• - MS511 열역학과 상평형
• 라. 선택 : 24학점 이상(당학과에서 개설하는 선택과목 9학점 이상 포함)
•      * 자유선택 과목은 인정하지 않음.
• 마. 연구 : 30학점 이상(반드시 세미나 2학점 포함)
• ※ 석사과정에서 이수한 교과목 학점 (연구학점 제외)은 박사과정 이수학점으로 누적 가산됨.

경과조치

• 석·박사과정
  • 본 이수요건은 2023학년도 입학생부터 적용함. 이전 입학생은 해당년도 이수요건을 적용함. (석·박사통합과정은 석사과정입학년도를 기준 적용함)
  • 단, 선택 이수요건 중 '자유선택 과목은 인정하지 않음'은 2023학년도 봄학기부터 모든 재학생에게 적용함

 

Master’s Program

 

ㅇ Credit Requirement for Graduation: Required to complete a total of more than 33 credits

ㅇ Mandatory General Courses: 3 credits and Completion of the Ethics and  Safety course

CC512 is acknowledged as mandatory general course for students in other

major.

ㅇ Mandatory Major Courses: 3 credits

    MS511 Thermodynamics and Phase Equilibria

ㅇ Elective Courses: at least 15 credits

- should take more than 6 credits offered by the department of Materials Science and Engineering

※ Other Elective Courses are not counted as "MSE" Elective Course. 

ㅇ Research Courses: at most 12 credits. (including 2 credits in Seminar)

 

□ Transitional Measures

- Students who entered in 2023 or later should fulfill the current degree requirements.

- Students who entered before 2022 should refer to the degree requirements  in the respective year.

※ In the elective course requirements,'Other Elective Courses are not counted as "MSE" Elective Course' applies to all students as of the spring semester, 2023.

 

Doctoral Program

 

ㅇ Credit Requirement for Graduation: Required to complete a total of more than 60 credits

ㅇ Mandatory General Courses: 3 credits and Completion of the Ethics and Safety course

CC512 is acknowledged as mandatory general course for students in other major.

ㅇ Mandatory Major Courses: 3 credits

    MS511 Thermodynamics and Phase Equilibria

ㅇ Elective Courses: at least 24 credits

- should take more than 9 credits offered by the department of Materials Science

and Engineering

※ Other Elective Courses are not counted as "MSE" Elective Course.

ㅇ Research Courses: at least 30 credits.(including 2 credits in Seminar)

※ The course credits earned in the Master's course work can be used towards the Doctoral degree (except research credits).
